The Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is empowered to review and
approve a wide variety of planning applications, and
makes recommendations to the City Council on zone changes,
General Plan amendments, and other matters.
The Planning Commission meets on the first and third
Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers
at City Hall, 8400 Laguna Palms Dr. Some meetings are
cancelled; please check the latest Planning Commission
Agenda page to see if a meeting will be held on a particular
date.
The City is also working on updating its citywide Tree Ordinance. The Tree Ordinance provides regulations and standards for the preservation and protection of heritage oak trees, native oak trees, and other protected species as part of development projects.
